With the success of the 25th Laguna Phuket Triathlon (LPT) in November 2018, Laguna Phuket resort has announced the race’s 26th annual edition is to take place on Sunday, November 24, 2019. Comprising signature race distances of a 1.8 Km Swim, 50 Km Bike, and 12 Km Run, registration for the 2019 edition of Asia’s longest-standing triathlon race opens from Thursday, December 27, at lagunaphukettri.com. Interested athletes are advised to book their slot as soon as possible to enjoy a Super Early Bird discount (available until January 31, 2019).
Following the sold-out success at the first launch in 2018, LPT’s sprint distance “25 For 25 Sprint” (0.5 Km swim, 18.5 Km bike, and 6 Km run) will be staged once again on the same day as the LPT in 2019.
d'26th LPT will once again feature a “Charity Fun Run.” Comprising a 5 Km and 10 Km run and 2 Km distance for junior runners, the Charity Fun Run will take place on Saturday, November 23, in the late afternoon and will raise funds in support of local Phuket children.
The TV show for the 2018 LPT race which took place on Sunday, November 18, will be broadcast nationally for interested audiences and aspired triathletes on Monday, December 31 from 3 pm-4 pm on Thai TV Channel 7HD (35).
