Wherever they are cruising at the time — the Mediterranean, Caribbean, United Arab Emirates, South America or transatlantic — Costa guests can watch all scheduled matches, thanks to satellite broadcasting with extensive geographical coverage. The matches will be available free of charge both on the screens in public areas on board and on in-cabin televisions.
Costa Toscana will broadcast the first matches from the western Mediterranean until late November, and then the ship repositions to Dubai, U.A.E., where guests can watch from the United Arab Emirates and Oman. Costa Smeralda will be in the western Mediterranean during the entire World Cup contest, while Costa Deliziosa will offer cruises in the eastern Med.
Costa Fascinosa and Costa Pacifica also will be cruising the Mediterranean, and in early December both ships will redeploy from Europe to the Caribbean on transatlantic cruises.
In late November, Costa Favolosa, Costa Fortuna and Costa Firenze will depart from Italy to Brazil and Argentina, where they will operate through the winter.
In addition to watching the FIFA World Cup, Costa guests can enjoy unique experiences on board and ashore – from new shore excursions that showcase each destination in an authentic way to cuisine designed by chefs Bruno Barbieri, Hélène Darroze and Ángel León, who reinterpret the flavors of the destinations included on the itineraries. During the FIFA World Cup, special shipboard activities will be dedicated to the event.
