Tourism, culture, trade, and air connectivity was discussed by Reunion Island and Seychelles on the sidelines of the annual Seychelles Carnaval International de Victoria, going on right now and throughout the weekend.

Faouzia Vitry, the Conseilliere Regionale of Reunion Island, and Sophie Jasmin, the Cultural Director of the island, met this morning with Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture. Mme. Vitry and Mme. Jasmin are the official representatives of Reunion Island at the 2016 edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria. Present also at this meeting was Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board.


Also present in Seychelles with a large cultural delegation is Lynda Lee Mow Sim, the island’s Conseillere Regionale. The Reunion and Seychelles delegations discussed the firming up of a working program which is hope to be formalized in the coming weeks when President Didier Robert accompanied by Mme. Vitry will be in Seychelles with a working delegation.
