A land of golden temples, limestone cliffs and wild parties; Thailand offers the perfect blend of fun, thrills and fascination. Weave in and out of the traffic on a tuk tuk in the bustling city of Bangkok, trek through dense green jungle in the northern Chiang Mai hills or hop from island to island on a party boat in the south of the country. The pace of life is fast here and you’re bound to enjoy the ride.

Ever-increasing in popularity, the breath-taking country of Croatia is a haven for adventurers. Hire a car from Kajak and discover the stunning Dalmatian Coast, row sea kayaks around the many picturesque islands or check out all the filming locations for popular series, Game of Thrones. Did you know that the historical city of Dubrovnik doubles as King’s Landing? There are plenty of recognisable sites from the show dotted throughout the country.

• Neiséiland

New Zealand is a country all about adrenaline-fuelled experiences and you’ll be overwhelmed by its mind-blowing natural beauty, which provides the setting for so many amazing adventures. You can travel around the north and south islands on the famous Kiwi Experience hop-on hop-off tour bus or, for the ultimate adventure, hire a campervan and explore things at your own pace. Go bungee jumping in Queenstown, float through the Waitomo Glowworm Caves and hike to the top of the Franz Josef glacier.

• Mexiko

Mexico boasts unspoilt white-sand beaches, a wealth of history and a nightlife like no other. Climb to the top of the El Castillo pyramid steps at the Chichen Itza Mayan ruins, zip-line above the treetops at Xplor or dive deep into the crystal-clear waters of underground cenotes along the Yucatan Peninsula. Sri Lanka may be relatively small, but there’s so much to explore on this beautiful island just south of India.
