Icelandair has revised its Toronto schedule for 2011, offering four flights a week beginning April 13 and suspending all service from Canada for November and December.

According to officials, Icelandair had planned to increase capacity from Toronto and operate a longer flight season, but was obligated to adjust its Canadian schedule to comply with the newly established Air Services Agreement between the Canadian and Icelandic governments.

Due to the restrictions of the agreement and increased cost of operations, including fuel, Icelandair will now offer a more limited service and a shorter flight season.

Seasonal service will continue through Oct.30 and resume again in 2012.

Icelandair is available to assist all passengers needing to adjust their travel plans due to these changes, including scheduling alternate travel dates and routing to their final destination.
